2018-08-09 on aug. 8, 2018, the consortium headed by cweg signed the zigong water environment management ppp project contract with the zigong municipal people’s government.
at the signing ceremony, li guogui, member of the standing committee of the cpc zigong municipal committee and deputy secretary of the cpc zigong municipal committee, congratulated the consortium on winning the bid for this project. li pointed out in his address that water environment management is a great cause benefiting both the current and future generations. therefore, zigong city, especially party committees and governments at the district and county levels, should accord great importance to the battle against water pollution, actively push forward the work of project coordination, and mobilize professional forces to help build a beautiful zigong city (known as the“capital of salt”) with lucid waters and lush mountains.

with a total investment of rmb 5.133 billion, the zigong water environment management ppp project consists of urban-rural wastewater treatment sub-project, water supply infrastructure and facility sub-project, and river watershed water environment management sub-project. when completed, the project will tremendously improve the water and ecological environment of zigong and satisfy people""s yearning for a better life. as a successful practice in “promoting protection but not engaging in large-scale development”, it is of great significance to the protection of water and ecological environment of the upper reach of the yangtze river and the sustainable urban economic development along the yangtze river.
